Sunrise

It starts with blood
spilling over the earth
as if a mighty soldier
ran his blade through the heavens
leaving thousands of feathers
and fluffy cotton balls
to be stained in scarlet

Fruits begin to blossom
from the dawn's slaughter
the tangy oranges
and plump grapefruits
come and sit together
to enjoy the spoils
of the early hours

The citrus make room
for a fuzzy neighbor
the peaches have arrived
 to soften up the scene
 with their sweet charms

As time creeps forward
the tender peaches
meet a big blue ocean
and as the tide rises
the pallette of colors
are washed away
only till the tide retreats
will they ever return

Adarel

Tall

Though quarters are small
Between three doors and a hall
Against sponged yellow walls
Height wouldn't have purpose at all
If their owner wasn't just as tall

Cello

She hums with passion
Deep within the sopranos
To a soft heart beat
