A Special Tribute

Mothers, are some of the most important people in this world. I'm sure for those of you who have a mother, are a mother, or have a mother-like firgure in your life, you're probably quick to shout an "Amen" in agreement.

With that said, I still feel the need to ask this question:Why are mothers so important?  It's not just the fact that they are the ones who read us stories, teach us important life lessons, bake us cookies,  and make us feel like a somebody. It's not just the sweet perfume they wear, or even the warm, soothing hugs they give everytime they find a reason to. Don't get me wrong, those are all great reasons as to why mothers are special people. I'm sure if I really thought about it, I'd find a hundred more reasons; however, then I wouldn't have any time to tell you how the real miracle within moms goes onto a deeper, more imtimate level.

Mothers are amazing people because they, by God's grace, have the privledge in helping bring new life into this world. Think about it, no really, try to wrap your brain around this, if you can. For about nine months, a woman is constantly connected to another human being who is growing from inside them, then, once out of the womb, the mother is able to care for her infant by feeding them with her body! That is amazing! God made us, and then God grants mothers the honor to help make somebody else. People wonder if God loves us, well, I find the miracle of motherhood one of the greatest examples one could ever hope to find.

Nobody said anything about motherhood being easy. Though its one of the greatest jobs given to women, it is also probably the toughest job. They spend nine months feeding, and caring for two people. Then, as if that wasn't exhausting, they have to go through severeal hours of gut wrenching labor pains, and of course, the dangerous business of delivery.(And to think, pregnancy is only the beginning of their long, difficult journey.)However, if you ask any mother, they will always tell you that all the pain, sickness, crazy hormones, and insane cravings were all worth it just to see their newborn face to face for the first time. They've told me that there's no words to describe the joy a mother feels when her baby is placed into her embrace.

Now, take that same joy, and hold onto it for a moment. Catch it right now! Now hold it firmly in your hands, and if you're a bit f a softy...grab a tissue! You'll need it for what's coming next.

This very joy is what Jesus feels everytime another person receives His grace and salvation. When that wonderous moment happens, the most radiant smile spreads across His face and He says to them, "You were worth it."

Until next time,

First impression

Hey Y'all,

I'm Adarel, or atleast that shall be my pen name for this new blog that I've created. I consider myself an artist, but also a work in progress (aren't we all?). I mainly draw and paint, but I'm not afraid to experiment with new materials whether it be wire sculpture, clay, or even photography.

I'm seventeen, but have many days where I feel anything but. When amoung my peers, I'm usually the odd ball artist who makes good grades and will occasionally engage in conversation but would rather skip the teenage drama and chill with folks much older than me. Honestly, if I were in a room with a thirty year old and a thirteen year old, I'd approach the thirty year old.

Also, I am learning to become a Christian apologist. For those of you that don't know what that is, an apologist is basically a person who uses means of (but are not limited to) logic, reason, and historical evidence to support and defend their faith. I'm not the stereotypical Christian who shoves and hollers and gives off the "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude. In fact, my goal is to swim against the tide and let people know that I will give them the same love, respect, and grace that Jesus Christ has given me. I may disagree with you, but I couldn't and wouldn't hate another human being. "Love the sinner, hate the sin".

Well I suppose I should get right down to it. Why am I making this blog? I've made this blog to not only share my own stories and experiences, but to share others' stories in hopes of moving people in ways they've only longed to be moved.

Until next time,

Adarel
